How Many Guests May We Invite?We have undercover space for up to a 100 sit down dining guests and more for a cocktail event.

Do We Organise Our Own Celebrant and Suppliers?Unless you opt for our premium package you will need to source and liaise with your own suppliers. Mansfield has an extensive range of wonderful wedding professionals. We have a very good list of suppliers who are all moderately priced but highly skilled professionals: Djs, MCs, Celebrants, Photographers, Cake Makers, Florists etc.

How Many Hours Does Our Wedding Package Include?You can rent the property for a minimum of 2 nights. If you opt for one of the support wedding packages, on the day support starts from 6 hours. Additional hours are charged at $100/hour.

Can we come and have a look at the venue on a weekend?Yes, you can come for a viewing on the weekend or during the week. Viewings must be booked in advance by contacting one of our Wedding Coordinators via email or through the wedding contact form on this website.

How long can you provisionally hold a date for us?Once you’ve been for a viewing, we can provisionally hold a date for you for 10 working days. If we haven’t had any other interest in that date by the end of the 10 days we can extend the hold for you but if we do have another couple interested in the date then we will ask you whether you would like to book or release the date at the end of the 10 days.

What deposit do I have to pay when I confirm a date?Once you have booked a date, we will send out our terms and conditions, they need to be signed and returned to Lovick’s High Country Escapes, via email, post, or in person. As well as your deposit of $750. Once we have received your deposit and your signed terms and conditions, we will send you your deposit receipt.

Will Will I have one contact when planning my wedding or will I deal with a number of different people?Depending on the package chosen, you will work with one person throughout your wedding preparation and that person will be there on arrival and/or on your wedding day.

Do I have to provide a security bond?Yes just like a deposit we also ask for a bond at the time of booking. the bond is $500 and will be returned to you the week following your stay.

What time can we arrive at the venue?Exclusive hire of the venue starts at 1 pm or you can pre-arrange an earlier time if availability allows.

Can we drop anything off the day before our wedding?If the venue isn’t booked you can drop table plans, name cards, bonbonnieres, decorations etc. the day before your wedding. All items are to be boxed and labelled

Do you allow pets at the venue?Yes, please don’t let them sleep on the beds or couches and ensure you clean up after your pets. Additional cleaning costs will be charged if this is not done.

Do you have any high chairs we can use?Yes, we have a couple high chairs which you can use. Please notify us if you need them at the time of booking.

What time do we need to leave the venue on our departure day?You will need to be vacated by 12:00 pm or you can pre-arrange a later time if availability allows.

What time do we have to finish the party?Although no official curfew, out of consideration for local residents, all amplified music on Friday and Saturday night must be lowered by 11 pm. Every other day it must be lowered at 10pm including Sunday.

Can my photographer come to the venue before the wedding to look around?Yes, as long as you make an appointment beforehand

Is the venue lit from the outside at night time?Yes there are several outdoor lights

Will there be firewood?Yes, we will leave sufficient firewood for your stay. Use it wisely. If you require more, you can either buy from Mansfield or bring your chainsaw and find/cut your own wood from the bush.

Can we stay the night before our wedding?You can choose to hire the venue from the night before or of your wedding. There is a 2 night minimum.

What accommodation is there at the venue?The Hideout offers beds for 23 people, one bunk room and four queen rooms with a bunk. There is ample space for camping on the property. There are also other B&B’s locally. We can give you the contact details of all local accommodation when you book.

Do you have any nearby accommodation recommendations for guests?We can give you the contact details of all local accommodation when you book.

Can we choose our own caterers, or do we have to use preferred suppliers?Yes! All our wedding packages allow you to bring in your own caterers. We’re happy to recommend trusted local vendors if needed.

Do you have kitchen facilities for external caterers?We have a basic kitchen in the cottage, however we recommend checking with your caterer to ensure it meets their needs. They might need to bring their own mobile kitchen, space has been provided.

Is there refrigeration available for food storage?Yes, we have fridges and freezers available in the cottage however these are not commercial and might not be suitable for your caterer.

Can we have a food truck or mobile catering?Absolutely! We have designated spaces for food trucks and mobile kitchens. Just let us know in advance so we can allocate a suitable spot.

Are there restrictions on self-catering?You’re welcome to self-cater your event, but we recommend hiring a professional team for food handling and service.

Do you provide bar staffWe can provide staff with RSA at an additional cost

Do you provide tables, chairs, cutlery, and crockery?Our venue has a few items in the cottage (for approx. 20 people), however wedding tables and chairs, cutlery, crockery, and glassware will need to be hired separately. We can suggest local hire companies.

What time can catering teams arrive for setup?Catering teams can arrive from 1pm the day your booking starts. If earlier access is needed, please discuss with us.

Do we need a liquor license?If you are serving alcohol but not selling it, a license may not be required. However, if you plan to sell drinks or have a cash bar, a temporary liquor license is necessary. We can guide you through the process.

Is there a bar area available?Yes! We provide a designated bar area with refrigeration and storage for beverages in the treehouse.

Are there restrictions on glassware use outdoors?For safety reasons, we recommend using plastic or polycarbonate glasses for outdoor areas.

What do we do with our waste?One normal residential bin is provided, a skip can be hired. If waste is left behind beyond the bin, this will be charged.

Can we have a live band or DJ at the venue?Yes! Our treehouse is perfect for live music, whether you prefer a band, DJ, or acoustic set.

Is there a noise curfew?Yes, our noise curfew is 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 10pm other days including Sunday, in line with local regulations. We ask that music be turned down after this time to respect nearby residents.

Do you have a stage for the band or DJ?We have a designated area for live music in our treehouse. If a stage is needed, we can recommend local hire companies.

Is there a sound system available, or do we need to hire one?Our venue does not provide a built-in sound system, so you’ll need to arrange this with your band, DJ, or a sound equipment hire company.

Are there power outlets available for bands and DJs?Yes, we have power outlets near the entertainment area. Let us know if high-power equipment will be used so we can advise on requirements.

Can we have an outdoor live music setup?Yes! Outdoor music is allowed, but we ask to keep to the noise restrictions.

Do we need a noise permit for live music?Generally, no. However, if you’re planning a large-scale event or extended outdoor performances, you might need one.

Is there a dance floor, or do we need to hire one?We have a timber floor in the treehouse or open grass area.

What time is check-in and check-out?Check-in is from 1pm and check-out is by 12pm unless otherwise arranged.

Is there a minimum stay?Yes, there’s a 2-night minimum stay. One-night stays will incur an additional fee (the midweek rate for one night).

Will someone be there when we arrive?Yes, if it is the first time you have booked our properties, one of us will meet you on arrival to show you the ropes and make sure you’re settled in.

Do you have a minimum number of people per booking?No, our bookings are exclusive and for the entire venue no matter the number of people. We have up to 23 beds at the Hideout and up to 40 at Seeforth Station and ample space for additional campers.
